How does it work?

Every time you make a payment or withdraw cash using your card, you will be charged the amount of the purchase/withdrawal as well as an additional amount chosen when you sign up to the electronic piggy bank. This additional amount will be paid into a savings account of your choosing.

Ways of saving:

  • Saving a fixed amount.
Every time you use the card, the amount paid into the savings account will be a fixed sum chosen by you.
  • Saving by rounding up: to 1 euro.
Every time you pay with your card, the difference between the purchase amount and the next whole euro will be paid into the designated account.

Examples:

  • Fixed amount:
You choose the fixed amount of €1 to save. You get €40 out of the cash machine, and in the account associated with the card you’ll see two movements: one debit of €40 and another of €1. This euro will be paid into the account indicated when you signed up for this service..
  • Rounding up to the next euro:
You make a purchase for €41.25, and in the account associated with the card you’ll see two movements: one debit of €41.25 and another for €0.75. This second amount will be paid into the account indicated when you signed up for this service.
The account designated for these ‘savings’ does not have to belong to the cardholder; you can deposit these savings into the account of your son or daughter, brother or sister, grandchildren, nephew or niece, godson or goddaughter, or into your own.
